Magnets :
Magnets are materials that attract certain substances, such as iron, nickel and cobalt. Not all objects are attracted to magnets. Objects that are attracted by a magnet are said to be magnetic, e.g., iron and nickel. Objects that are not attracted by a magnet are said to be non-magnetic, e.g., wood and plastic We can say that the substances having the property of attracting iron objects are known as magnets. The force exerted by the magnet on the iron is called magnetic force.
